FAQ (Selected)

Do I need to register a credit card to make a reservation?
For parties of 5 or more, we ask you to register a credit card for all plans.
We do not charge that card for your bill. You pay at the restaurant when you visit.
A cancellation fee may apply in cases such as not showing up without notice.
The cancellation policy is stated on the booking site.

I have a food allergy. Can you accommodate me?
We have a page listing the allergens for all 31 items. Please check it before your visit: https://gyopao.com/en/gyopaoinfo-en/allergen.html

All dishes are prepared in the same kitchen, so we cannot completely prevent trace cross-contamination. If you have a severe allergy, please tell our staff when you arrive.

You have over 20,000 Google reviews. How did you gather so many?
We ask our guests, at an appropriate moment, to share their honest feedback. In line with Google’s guidelines, we never offer discounts, free items, or any other reward to guests who post a review, and our staff have no quotas or incentives tied to review counts. We read every review as feedback for improvement. As a rule we reply to every review. In our most recent 1,000 reviews, half of our replies were posted within 11.4 hours (as of August 2026). Critical comments included, reviews are shared through our internal system and at the next morning’s staff meeting, and are reflected in how we improve our service and operations.

What is GYOPAO?
Dumplings are found all over the world, and ours are one of them. Ours have a thick, chewy wrapper filled with Chinese-style seasoned pork and plenty of hot, juicy soup. Bite into one and the hot juices burst out.

In Japan they are classified as gyoza, but they were born from two roots: xiaolongbao from Taiwan, the home of our founder’s father, and dago-jiru — a hearty wheat-dumpling soup from Kumamoto (Japan), the home of his mother. The same dish is not found in China or in Taiwan; you can only taste it here.

We serve three kinds: a boiled dumpling hot pot in soup, the same dumplings in a spicy soup hot pot, and bite-sized fried dumplings with plenty of garlic.
